Pin It With Me

Hi hi!  Welcome to my day on the Pin It! blog hop!!!  Thanks for visiting :o)  I also want to say THANK YOU!!! to Kristen over at Meadowbrook and Madame Samm at Sew We Quilt for hosting and creating this hop - you ladies ROCK!

Here is the list of the lovely bloggers I am sharing my day with, go visit them and show them some bloggy love!!!

AnnieOak Designs  woof woof meow!

When I saw there was going to be a pin cushion hop, I knew I wanted to do it.  I've been wanting to make my own "pin and bin" for a while and this was the opportunity to do it!  I made a two-piece unit and will definitely be making some more!

The top portion I filled with rice and need to sew some non-slip shelf liner to the bottom, it slips and slides all over the place!

I attached some velcro to the tongue piece on the pin cushion and on the inside of the scrap bin.  The tongue is just long enough to hang down and be convenient, but not too long to get lost under my table.

I love the fabric too - I've been hoarding the texty fabric and it is perfect for my projects - woof woof meow!

Now, thanks for visiting!  I hope you enjoyed my little pincushion project, I know I do!  Visit the rest of the bloggers and don't forget to spread the bloggy love!

Here's some O love, she says - go check out the rest of the pins!!!

  37. Pin and Bin is very clever of you to create. We always have threads that need a place to land and of course the comfort of a pincushion for our needles and pins. Creative Bliss and Great Hop...

  44. Its lovely and thanks for the tip about a non slip mat on the underneath - mine keeps slipping too but it never occurred to me to try some of that! Thanks for sharing and sorry I am late visiting.

  45. Great cushion and thread catcher. I put Velcro on my pin cushion underside and on top of a base I made of a ceramic tile covered with batting and matching fabric. The tile keeps the whole unit in place even when the thread catcher is full. It is a very handy pin cushion on the ironing board. Thanks for sharing.

  50. I love your pincushion. I, too, just finished making one similar this summer - long overdue. I did put some grippy fabric underneath which helped but I also added some washers for added weight. I just tacked them on by hand; it works.
